Rich Arends is a Senior Consultant for Corporate Ladders, specializing in business development consulting and coaching for Life Sciences and Professional Services companies. Working with a diverse client base and drawing on skill sets developed over 30 years, Rich provides his clients consulting and coaching expertise in areas that include strategic planning, value based business development, sales/marketing and functional integration. Arends has worked in large corporate (Xerox and IBM/Rolm Systems) and small startup environments. He has held several executive level positions in a variety of organizations including President and Chief Executive Officer of data communications network company, Satellite Business Network, Inc., Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Prodigy Business Solutions and Vice President of Business Development for eti Sales Support.

Arends was previously President of the Haran Management Group (HMG) which he started in 1988. HMG was created to provide an affiliation of specialist and executive management talent offering expertise in business development, marketing consulting and sales productivity in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, information and high technology industries. Corporate Ladders and HMG joined forces in 2007, merging their combined executive talent, knowledge, skills and expertise to expand the services that each offered individually.

A businessman by education and experience, Arends has achieved success and advancement in a spectrum of business environments by honing and applying a variety of technological, strategic and tactical planning and managerial skills. His collective career profile has enabled him to provide clients with practical expertise and business coaching to achieve their business objectives and vision. Arends has focused his attention on providing the highest level of executive coaching, effective communicating, sales and market planning and business development strategy. Arends also specializes in demand generation and effective utilization of CRM/SFA systems for top line revenue growth and sales effectiveness.

Arends holds an BA degree in Economics from Franklin and Marshall College and an MBA from Rutgers University.
