Marianne is a Senior Consultant for Corporate Ladders. Prior to joining the firm, Marianne was employed by IBM as a senior faculty member at IBM's Executive Business Institute. There she worked with C-suite executives to build adaptive business models that create sustainable value. Topics of innovation, organizational governance, business transformation, adaptive enterprise, alliance formation, and organizational relationship are the foundation of her research and engagements.Marianne Kosits has over 30 years experience in business strategy and organizational relationships. As a senior consultant for Corporate Ladders, Marianne will be focusing on training clients in the art of relationship management and strengthening their business development capabilities. Her thirty years of cross industry experience in services and relationship consulting include forming and building enterprises around the globe.
Before returning to the Executive Business Institute, Marianne was the founding partner, intellectual capital owner and executive consultant of the IBM Relationship Alignment Solutions practice. In addition to consulting with clients, Marianne developed tools and methods to assist in creating and sustaining organizational relationships that generate ongoing mutual value. She is the co-author of the IBM book Relationship Alignment.
Marianne has published articles on the topics of organizational governance, strategic alignment of business and information technology, formulating strategy, innovation, engineering customer experiences, and building collaborative relationships. Marianne was a guest on the nationally syndicated CBS Small Business Report for a series of shows on the topic of customer loyalty and service excellence. Her co-authored research paper Negotiated Order in Network Form Organizations presented at the 2004 International AFFE Conference held by the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, was selected for publication in the Systems Research and Behavioral Science Yearbook. In February 2009, she was a keynote speaker at the 'Services Science Meets Systems Science' conference held at the Tokyo Institute of Technology presenting the topic of 'Building Adaptive Enterprises'.
Marianne is a cum laude graduate of Long Island University Honors Program (C.W. Post College), and has completed IBM's Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. She is a recipient of the YWCA's TWIN (Tribute to Women in Industry) Award and IBM's Leadership Award. She was honored twice as a 'top 10' speaker at the global Technical Leadership Exchange, drawing capacity crowds to her presentations. Marianne has recently lectured in Masters and PhD programs at Columbia University, Helsinki University of Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She continues to research and publish work in relationship, innovation and systems science topics.
